Description
Nissha Medical Technologies is looking for an Environmental, Safety & Training Coordinator to ensure the organization complies with all safety and environmental regulations to help minimize the risk of job-related accidents. Monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities and develop and maintain policies to promote safety awareness. Additionally, we are looking for someone to assist us in our training coordination across the manufacturing plant. 

Essential Functions Include:
1.    Develops, promotes, and maintains safe working environment, policies, programs, processes designed to identify hazards, and evaluate hazardous conditions/risks.
2.    Maintains company safety regulations and responsible for coordinating and chairing monthly Safety Committee meetings.
3.    Audits facility and equipment for safety compliance to Federal and State regulations as well as Company requirements.
4.    Coordinates with Workers Compensation carrier on Annual Risk Assessment visits and attends safety workshops as required.
5.    Maintains Safety Data Sheets.
6.    Responsible for compliance of OSHA standards at Buffalo facility, including completion of OSHA 300 Log, Form 301, and TIR calculations.
7.    Conduct routine environmental plant audits, report deficiencies and corrective actions.
8.    Administer Respirator fit/training program, annual hearing tests, and safety shoe program
9.    Lead safety initiatives (i.e. ergonomic projects, machine guarding, targeted topics) based on risk.
10.    Responsible for weekly LOTO inspections.
11.    Provide on-site safety training, creation of safety materials and audits.
12.    Investigate all work-related accidents and recommendations for prevention.

Requirements
•    BS or BA Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Business required
•    Minimum 1 year experience working in manufacturing setting

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•    Ability to perform audits, write, and submit reports
•    Ability to multi-task
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer based applications
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Highly proactive and self-motivated
•    Hands on position requiring time spent on the production floor
•    Flexibility in schedule to coincide with all production shifts
