Nissha Medical Technologies is looking for a Buyer to join our Supply Chain team in Sandpoint, Idaho. This position is responsible for maintaining supply inventory levels required for effective company operations. This position is also responsible for conducting regular price comparisons, finding secondary sources for similar materials, maintaining accurate vendor specifications, and helping with basic change management activities.

Essential Responsibilities include:
  • Execute Purchase Price Variance (PPV) Projects and always look for new cost reduction opportunities. Receive multiple quotes whenever sourcing new or existing products.
  • Factor in true landed cost to our door (include transportation, packaging, etc.).
  • Negotiate aggressively and ethically.
  • Develop a second source to ensure a position of leverage.
  • Drive Core Materials Mentality.
  • Maintain current and accurate specification files.
  • Verify language and specifications of purchase requests with the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Consult catalogs and contact suppliers via phone, and e-mail to obtain prices and specifications.
  • Enter purchase order into computer and sends copy to supplier.
  • Expedite existing orders as needed.
  • Follow up with vendors regarding order status to ensure timely deliveries as scheduled as well as change orders on existing purchase orders.
  • Confer with suppliers concerning late deliveries.
  • Follow up with supplier Non Conformances (NCs) and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARS).
  • Prepare the Approved Supplier List and supplier monthly review.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving and kitting as needed.
  • Will assist in Engineering Change Control Process for production released product/processes.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Abide by all safety and security rules set by the company and regulatory agencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two years of related supply chain experience strongly preferred.
  • Computer experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Experience with Sage MAS100 preferred.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to coordinate numerous, diverse, detailed activities concurrently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of products and materials.
