Description
Nissha Medical Technologies is currently seeking full time Product Development Technician to join our team in Sandpoint, Idaho. This position is responsible for assisting the Product Development and Program Management departments from initial product design to prototyping and final production.

Day Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Essential Responsibilities Include:
  • Obtain and analyze ideas from customers and Program Managers; create electronic renderings and submit to Program Manager for approval.
  • Interface with customers as necessary.
  • Train and instruct existing, new, or temporary employees; training to include programming of lasers and systems.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Production to develop and design new products suitable for large scale production.
  • Print Travelers and Bill of Materials and assign Work Orders.
  • Close Work Orders daily.
  • Research Special Order Requests (SOR) and send to Purchasing for approval.
  • Create sample part numbers in ERP.
  • Work with kitting department to ensure proper materials are in stock for associated builds.
  • Review and create laser files, assembly flows, and specifications per customer requirements and production capability.
  • Set-up, run, and maintain ULS lasers, to include standard and non-standard product, via written and oral instructions.
  • Work in a manufacturing setting laser cutting and assembling products following written guidelines and specifications.
  • Independently operate production machinery after successful training and certification.
  • Train other department employees and production personnel during product development builds.
  • Perform assembly work and assist in the Production Department as needed.
  • Adhere to good documentation practices by filling out complete and thorough documentation.
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Adhere to all company safety, security, quality, and regulatory policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Post secondary education desired.
  • Minimum one year of related experience required. Three or more years of experience is preferred
  • Prior production lead experience preferred
  • Ability to manage time effectively to meet targets and deadlines.
  • General knowledge of work order processing and manufacturing scheduling preferred.
  • Prior experience in CorelDRAW and DraftSight preferred.
  • Prior experience in FDA regulated manufacturing facility preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and GMP regulations preferred.
  • Strong reading and comprehension skills required.
  • Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
