Nissha Medical Technologies is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our team in Sandpoint, Idaho. This position is responsible for the timely production of our products in accordance with established procedures, quality standards, and customer specifications. Also responsible for supervision of the manufacturing and supply chain personnel, production capacity, and providing a positive atmosphere conducive to continuous improvement for quality and efficiency. 

Essential Responsibilities include:
  • Set the production schedule to determine what products are needed for production.
    • Assess sales history and projections to set “min/max”.
    • Group products according to product families, machines, wire line and Bio 2.
    • Input work orders into ERP.
    • Continue workload evaluation to ensure proper workload.
  • Assign employees with the appropriate skills to respective production tasks.
  • Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between and within the departments.
  • Continuously coordinate with the shipping and receiving unit to ensure proper flow of products.
  • Coordinate with sales staff on order and shipping dates.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and 5s processes in production.
  • Responsible for Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) with the Quality Manager.
  • Responsible for producing quality parts.
    • Check all machines periodically to ensure that they are performing according to company standards.
    • Coordinate with Quality Control on product issues.
    • Coordinate with engineering on machine issues and maintenance.
    • Ensure that all products adhere to FDA and ISO regulations.
    • Continuously look for improvements to the lean and 5s systems.
  • Coordinate with Product Development on upcoming projects and runs for prototype.
  • Estimate production costs and accordingly set production budgets and then manage production budgets by implementing cost control programs.
  • Track scrap and down time for machines.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed to ensure conformance and consistency of products. Remain current on all company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the management of the building entry control system and the building alarm system.
  • Oversee the Safety Committee; report safety issues to the Safety Committee and the Operations Manager. Ensure that safety guidelines are followed by the production team.
  • Set achievable and realistic production goals for employees based on demand, history, timing experience and company needs. Provide employees with the necessary tools to be successful in their jobs.
  • Monitor ADP timecards, schedules, and time off requests, approving and correcting as necessary.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Abide by all safety and security rules set by the company and regulatory agencies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for staffing, supervision and performance management of department employees to include disciplinary action. Partner with Human Resources for disciplinary action.
  • Participate in staff management training and effectively manage employees in compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Interview, hire, and train new department employees.
  • Adhere to state and federal fair employment acts.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews, establish clear goals, and support learning opportunities for job skills and career growth. Performance reviews to be reviewed by Human Resources and Director of Operations.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associates degree. Bachelor degree in engineering or business preferred.
  • Minimum five years of manufacturing experience is required.
  • Previous experience in the medical device manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Business acumen and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and conflict management and resolution skills.
